About

Your Gateway to Uganda’s WASH Wisdom Repository

UWASNET’s WASH Resource Centre is a digital knowledge hub dedicated to water, sanitation, and hygiene in Uganda. It brings together verified, relevant, and practical resources generated by UWASNET, its members, and partners. Open and accessible to the public, this platform offers a rich collection of curated materials to strengthen advocacy, learning, and evidence-based action within the WASH sector.

All resources are carefully reviewed to support civil society organisations, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners working to improve WASH outcomes across the country.

Purpose

In alignment with UWASNET’s mission to coordinate and strengthen the performance of civil society in Uganda’s WASH sector, the Resource Centre plays a strategic role by fostering shared learning, amplifying impact, and encouraging knowledge-driven programming. It serves as a backbone for sector learning, accountability, and innovation.

Call to Action

Whether you’re a WASH advocate, implementer, student, or donor—your contribution matters. Explore, contribute, and share resources to advance sustainable WASH solutions for every Ugandan. Together, let’s build a stronger, evidence-rich movement that leaves no one behind.

From Data to Impact – Start Here to Change the Future of WASH. Across Uganda, millions of people still lack access to clean water, safe sanitation, and hygiene – a crisis with far-reaching consequences, especially for children and vulnerable communities. Preventable waterborne illnesses continue to claim lives, while climate change and urban pressures further strain fragile WASH systems.

The UWASNET Resource Centre was established to confront this challenge head-on. It serves as a national knowledge hub, empowering civil society organisations, policy makers, and development partners with credible resources, evidence, and tools to advocate for equitable, effective WASH service delivery. By centralising critical research, policy briefs, case studies, and data, the Resource Centre aims to bridge information gaps, strengthen sector coordination, and ultimately improve WASH outcomes for all.

This platform is not just a repository—it’s a catalyst for action. Together, we can use it to inspire informed advocacy, evidence-based decision making, and a future where no Ugandan is left behind in the pursuit of water, sanitation, and hygiene for all.
